Imagine a world without people who were atheists. None of the above killed in the name of atheism. Atheism is an answer to the question "do I believe in god", not a guarantee of other political or religious views. There a christian communists and atheist absolutists and islamic totalitarianists. The difference between the 9/11 bombings or the attacks in paris and the people above is that the latter killed in the name of a political ideology, whereas the first killed in the name of their religion.
